Our Staff

Terri:

Terri is a warm-hearted receptionist who can be found working at the front desk in the mornings. She looks forward to greeting you upon arrival!

Terri worked in human medicine prior to the veterinary field. Terri made the switch because she loves animals and has enormous empathy for them. When she's not working, you'll find Terri enjoying the outdoor  activities and hiking in and around Sedona.

Melanie:

Melanie can do it all! She is our lead veterinary technician who relocated to Sedona from Michigan several years ago. Mel has been working with domestic and wild animals since 1986 and was state and federally permitted to rehab wildlife in Michigan. Among other tasks, Mel trained raptors to hunt!  However, Mel paused that phase of her life to raise her daughter and three sons.

In more recent years Mel was the general manager at Almost Home, a 100% no-kill shelter in Michigan, a professional groomer, an animal trainer, and she worked at the Humane Society of Sedona. In addition, Mel is currently enrolled in courses to become a licensed vet tech and she and is working to reinstate her wildlife rehab permits here in Arizona. Mel is a Fear Free certified professional and constant learner who seeks to expand to her knowledge. We couldn’t be more honored to have Mel’s experience, expertise, and compassion to help us serve our clients.

Melinda:

Melinda is an accomplished veterinary technician with more than 20 years of experience. In her relatively short life she has managed to work in a variety of jobs and fields, but she has always returned to the veterinary world and thrived when helping animals. She has incredible compassion for animals and her colleagues and is an extremely hard worker.

When she is isn't working at the clinic, you can find Melinda spending time with her family and adorable grandson.

Alexis:

Alexis is a veterinary assistant and receptionist. She is originally from Hawaii and moved to Sedona recently after living in Phoenix for several years. Alexis is a life-long animal lover who grew up with 12 goats, 4 ducks, 1 rabbit, and 2 dogs! She currently has an adorable and rambunctious puppy named Geisha. When she  isn't working or caring for the animals, you can find her living life to the fullest with outdoor adventures in and around Sedona.

Alexis hopes to become a veterinarian one day and return to her native Kauai. In the meantime, we are delighted to have her can-do attitude, positive approach to life, and compassion.

Carrie:

Carrie is an organized, thoughtful, and efficient veterinary technician. Carrie has been working with animals since she was a little girl and grew up with all kinds of animals including raccoons, deer, horses, cows, and more! She has always loved working with animals and trained horses for 2 years.

Carrie currently has 3 dogs, one husband, and one adorable daughter, Rosie. In her free time she is going to school to become a certified veterinary technician and volunteers at animal shelters and rescues.

Monica:

Monica is an incredibly capable part-time receptionist and veterinary assistant. Monica relocated from Denver about a year ago and absolutely loves Sedona. Monica is extremely artistic and loves to draw and paint. She spends most of her time utilizing her artistic skills and making candles in Uptown! When Monica isn't working, you can find her hiking along the Verde river with her two dogs, Chase and Huckleberry, and checking out all of the birds, especially hawks and owls.

Cookie & Turtle:

These two clinic-kitties work very hard to make the clinic a nice place! When they aren't sleeping, they are entertaining the staff with their antics. Turtle is the more adventurous of the two, despite her limited vision. You might spot her roaming the halls from time to time. Cookie loves to sit, sleep, and be pet. She lives a life of leisure!
