Our Staff

Rosie is a phenomenal receptionist who can be found working at the front desk and greeting everyone with a warm smile.

Prior to working in the veterinary field Rosie worked in human medicine. Rosie loves all animals and has enormous empathy for them. She and Wade have a small brood of animals, including a Border-Pointer mix Dalton, Russian Blue mix Enzo, and a kitten, Tuxedo Bodhi. All three are rescues and get along very well together.

Rosie was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She lived in Wyoming and helped her husband's families towing company, and also lived in Montana. She's lived in Northern Arizona for several years and loves spending time with her husband, her family, and her adorable great-nephew and great-neices. She also loves writing poetry, listening to music and dancing.

Melanie can do it all! She is our lead vet tech who relocated to Sedona from Michigan several years ago. Mel has been working with domestic and wild animals since 1986. Mel was state and federally permitted to rehab wildlife in Michigan. Among other tasks, Mel trained raptors to hunt!  However, Mel paused that phase of her life to raise her daughter and three sons.

In more recent years Mel was the general manager at Almost Home, a 100% no-kill shelter in Michigan, a professional groomer, an animal trainer, and she worked at the Humane Society of Sedona. In addition, Mel is currently enrolled in college courses to become a licensed vet tech, and she and is working to reinstate her wildlife rehab permits here in Arizona. We couldn’t be more proud to have Mel’s experience, expertise, and warm heart to help us serve our clients.

Lisa is a vet tech who relocated to Cottonwood from Clearwater, Florida. Lisa has been working in the veterinary field since she was 16 years old. She obtained a New York State vet tech license in 1991 and graduated from Adelphi University with Bachelor's degree in Biology in 1992. She spent the past 10 years working as a vet tech in Florida and fostering kitties for her local Humane Society. She is extremely experienced caring for animals during surgery and dental procedures and she monitors your pets like one of her own.

She loves to work with animals and people and has a heart of gold. When she’s not working at the clinic, you can find her riding horses and taking care of her two daughters (ages 4 and 16), her father, and her four cats: Goblin, Simba, Simon, and Potty. Yes, she loves cats!!

Cookie & Turtle:

These two clinic-kitties work very hard to make the clinic a nice place! When they aren't sleeping, they are entertaining the staff with their antics. Turtle is the more adventurous of the two, despite her limited vision. You might spot her roaming the halls from time to time. Cookie loves to sit, sleep, and be pet. She lives a life of leisure!
